Use the badge as a question
A duration badge asks a useful design question: does this cover still communicate when part of its lower corner is covered? A headline's final word, a tiny price, or a product detail can be easy to miss during full-size editing.
FramePatch offers a rough YouTube-style badge on its Wide preview. It is a visual obstruction check, not a pixel-accurate reproduction of a current platform interface. Real layouts may change with the app, device, placement, or other controls.
Try a realistic duration
- Load your cover and select Wide ยท 16:9.
- Turn on Duration badge and enter a duration close to your video's length, such as 12:34. Use a valid time, not a marketing label.
- Look at the lower-right corner, then read the whole headline. A longer duration takes more horizontal room in the simulation.
- Turn the badge off and on. Check whether your eye loses important information when it appears.
Fix the composition, not just the overlap
Moving the focus may expose a hidden word, but it can also crop the subject somewhere else. Review the full preview after each adjustment. If space is tight, Fit mode can preserve the whole source; check that the surrounding color looks deliberate.
For a persistent conflict, edit the source design. Move essential copy away from the corner, shorten the headline, or separate the text from the subject. There is no universal safe-area percentage in this tool, and these changes do not predict click-through performance.
The badge and rule-of-thirds guides are preview aids. FramePatch leaves them out of the exported images, ZIP, and comparison sheet. You do not need to switch them off before downloading.
Do one final check where it will appear
Open the exported file at a realistic viewing size, then use the destination platform's own posting preview. FramePatch helps you spot a likely problem early; the final placement is the best place to check the actual interface.
